1. Who we are
CTCtruth is an independent project run by an individual. It isn't a company, and it isn't affiliated with any employer, payroll provider or tax authority. In this policy, “we” means the person who runs CTCtruth.

2. What stays on your device
The analyzer runs entirely in your browser. When you add an offer letter (PDF, Word or pasted text), it's read by code running in your browser tab. The file and its contents are never sent to us or to anyone else. Phone numbers, email addresses and PAN are masked before any text is shown.
CTCtruth doesn't set cookies. It keeps two things in your browser's local storage:
- Saved offers (
ctctruth_canonical_vault_v5): the offers you choose to save, including the figures you entered and, if they came from a letter, the lines they were read from. - Theme (
ctctruth-theme): whether you chose the light or dark theme.
This information stays on your device; we can't see it. You can export or delete saved offers from My offers, and clearing this site's data in your browser removes both.
3. What we receive
The only personal information we receive is what you send through the contact form: your name, your email address, the topic you pick and your message. You provide it voluntarily, and we use it only to reply to you and, where your message is a correction or suggestion, to improve CTCtruth.
Please don't include your offer letter, salary details, PAN or phone number in a message. Describe the issue in general terms instead.
4. Service providers
CTCtruth is hosted by Netlify. Contact-form messages are stored by Netlify Forms and forwarded to our email inbox, which is provided by Google. Both process this information under their own privacy policies, and it may be stored on servers outside India.
Like any web host, Netlify processes technical information such as IP addresses and browser details to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We don't use this for analytics or tracking.
There are no other third parties: no analytics, advertising or social-media scripts, and fonts and libraries are served from this site. We don't sell or share your information.
5. How long we keep messages
Messages aren't deleted automatically. We keep them until you ask us to delete them, or until we delete them ourselves. To have your messages deleted from both Netlify and our inbox, email ankurchauhan126@gmail.com.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can withdraw your consent to us keeping it at any time. Email ankurchauhan126@gmail.com and we'll respond as soon as we can.
If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live; in India, that's the Data Protection Board of India.
7. Children
CTCtruth is meant for people evaluating job offers and isn't directed at children. If you're under 18, please don't send us a message without a parent or guardian's involvement.
8. Security
The site is served over HTTPS with a strict content security policy that allows only its own scripts. Because offer letters never leave your device, there's no copy of them for us to lose. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep sensitive details out of messages.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. The About page also explains how privacy works in the analyzer.
