1. About these terms
By using CTCtruth you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it. CTCtruth is an independent project run by an individual; “we” means that person. How we handle information is covered by the privacy policy.
2. What CTCtruth is, and isn't
CTCtruth estimates what an Indian job offer pays: how the CTC breaks down, estimated income tax and take-home, comparisons between offers, projections and questions worth asking an employer. It's free, with no sign-up.
It isn't tax, legal, financial or career advice, and it isn't affiliated with any employer, payroll provider or tax authority. Sample offers and examples on the site are illustrative, not real employers or market data.
3. Accuracy of estimates
Results depend on the figures you enter or confirm and on the rules CTCtruth applies, which are listed under rules and sources. Those rules simplify some things, can be incomplete, and can fall out of date when tax law changes. Where a tax year's rules are provisional, the analyzer says so.
Reading an offer letter uses pattern matching and can miss or misread figures. You're responsible for checking every value before you use it, and for confirming anything important with your employer or a qualified professional before making a decision.
4. Using CTCtruth
- Use it lawfully, and only with documents you're entitled to use.
- Don't try to disrupt the site, get around its security, or use it to harm others.
- Don't send sensitive personal or financial details through the contact form.
5. No warranty
CTCtruth is provided “as is” and “as available”. We don't guarantee that it's accurate, complete, up to date, uninterrupted or free of errors.
6. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of CTCtruth or from decisions made using its estimates. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can't be limited by law.
7. Content and licences
CTCtruth's content, design and code belong to its author unless stated otherwise. You're welcome to use the site and share its results for your own purposes, but please don't republish substantial parts of it without permission. It uses the Cabinet Grotesk font under the ITF Free Font License, the Plus Jakarta Sans and Fragment Mono fonts under the SIL Open Font License, Lucide icons under the ISC licence, and open-source libraries under their own licences.
8. Changes
We may change, suspend or stop CTCtruth at any time. If these terms change, we'll update this page and the date at the top; continuing to use the site means you accept the updated terms.
